Our Mission

Phoenix of Marietta is a specialty surgical service dedicated to the treatment of patients with failed antireflux surgery. Our main focus is the treatment of patients with persistent or recurrent esophageal reflux symptoms after prior reflux surgery. Frequently these patients are told that nothing can be done to help them or surgery is not an option. Redo or revision antireflux surgery can be extremely difficult secondary to the loss of tissue planes from scar tissue or adhesions. Most surgeons do not perform this challenging surgery. For over 20 years we have successfully performed laparoscopic revision or redo antireflux surgery. The great majority of patients have surgery performed as an outpatient. We enjoy the challenge of improving the quality of life for these patients.
